Let Go A Little

This prayer has radically changed my life. Every morning I face the decision to hold tightly to fear, anticipation, and worry, then I say this prayer and remember I have the choice to let go a little.

I don’t manage discomfort well, I want to remove it, to heal it…but I can’t, that’s not my job. But here’s what I can do, what you can do: we can open our fists, let go, and place these deep longings, deep fears into the hands of the One who is in control and who loves us deeper than we could possibly know.

Take a minute to stop spinning, let go, and welcome the day, whatever it may hold. And let me know if this prayer encourages you!

Wow, it does bless and encourage me Em. I like the illustration too. Anyway, what does the picture of “letting go desire for survival and security” show?

Thanks Amelia! I appreciate that, thanks for reading it! I drew the girl covered in padding to keep her safe: helmet and shoulder, knee, arm and chest pads…kind of like what they use in American football!
